Some of the job types in accounting you can expect

  • Auditor
    Auditors perform assessments and evaluations of a company’s financial statements. All public companies must have their financial statements externally audited each year. They also get an opportunity to see and understand how a company makes its money.

  • Bookkeeper
    A bookkeeper makes records of all the financial transactions undertaken by an organisation. This usually includes records of what was purchased, sold, lent and borrowed.

  • Management accountant
    Management accounting is about helping an organisation to make internal business decisions. Management accountants will help to identify, measure, analyse and present financial information to assist management in decision making.

  • Financial accountant
    Financial accountants prepare financial statements based on general ledgers for stakeholders. They require a solid understanding of both accounting and finance.

  • Tax accountant
    Tax accountants perform accounting for taxation purposes. They assist companies and individuals in preparing tax returns. They formulate tax strategies to help with decisions on financial choice, tax deferral, when to expense items and how to best approach corporate mergers or acquisitions.
