Architects plan, design, model and oversee the construction of a building. They help put client's requirements into a physical well built structure. Often architects and their firms specialise in certain project types, technological expertise and project delivery methods. Many architects will move into roles such as;
- Property development
Property development can be placed in two major categories, including land and building development. Land developers acquire raw land and improve it with infrastructure for further building development. Building developers work with this raw land to construct building projects.
- Project management
Project managers in construction and building are responsible for scope definition, planning, product quality and the delivery of development projects within budget and on time.
- Interior design
Interior designers shape the experience of interior space of buildings.
